Honoring the Past, Transforming the Present, and Leading the Future

My mission is to educate and empower today’s youth about Black history through a dynamic arts-integrated, strengths-based curriculum in order to positively impact their present and future.

I provide resources to parents and educators to learn Black history in the fullness and beauty of what our story entails from Africa to the African Diaspora.

Explore Black History is for all students; it creates a learning space for Black students to take pride and ownership in the rich history and legacy that is theirs, correct notions, and widen narratives of what the Black experience is for all children.

Your presentation about Teaching About Black Excellence helped our students feel more prepared for teaching! As you know, community is created when we can have the hard conversations about what matters most, and creating inclusive educational experiences is something that we are passionate about in the School of Education. We are so fortunate to be more equipped to teach about Black excellence all year, in every subject after your presentation.
